Profile

After nearly 10 years of experience in international trade and marketing I have focus my attention today to the organisation and process side of business. My current position enables me to carry out the organisation and workflow of a new department for global key account management.

Employment

Organisation project manager within Coface, a worldwide Trade Receivables Finance Company. Coface sells a large range of Trade Receivables Services, like factoring, credit insurance, business information and Debt Collection services. Unique in this combination of financial services, Coface is one of the main players worldwide and its T/O exceeds a billion Euros. Its geographical presence covers over 90 countries.

Responsibilities

  • Manage transversal projects in organisation and quality such as the optimisation of sales processes, customer relationship management, KYC procedures, enhancement of quality.

Global Key Account Coordinator (from May 2005 - till May 2007)

Responsibilities

  • Development of new organisation for dedicated Global Key Account Department.
  • Study on reporting needs for Key Account follow-up and profitability (required data for full portfolio, worldwide level)
  • Improvement of inter-entity organisation flows including training.
  • Sales development and study of potential sales for prospects and current key accounts.
  • * Support in decision making in case of tense international sales negotiations

Coordinator for international marketing development within Coface(from Sept. 2002 till May 2005)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the Marketing Kit of new Group products including the various stages for creation and launching as well as operational support. (results: 2 group products and 9 local launchings with follow-up)
  • Training and coordination of local entities and partners: seminars by country or in groups, adapted to market and local knowledge and experiences. Role plays for increased sales results.
  • Creation a group marketing exchange based on "Experience Sharing" in marketing and field experiences (special meeting, workshops, success stories, feedback on events etc.)
  • Implementation of sales follow-up accompanied by "Lessons Learned".
  • Make Centres of Excellence integrate a marketing approach in their global offer and focus on sales approaches.
  • Creation of group brochure and online demo as well as various contacts and projects with external agencies.
  • Management of the Group’s extranet for Marketing.
  • Any ad-hoc cross cultural projects regarding marketing issues on the Group level.

The company as an international group focuses on a group marketing approach and increased marketing exchange. As a result, from individual entities worldwide, it becomes a genuine group where marketing experiences and marketing exchanges manage to create a competitive advantage and increased market knowledge.

International Product manager for online protection offer. Within Coface see above. (from April 2000 till Sept. 2002)

Responsibilities

  • Creation of the product and its specifications: IT and web architecture, contracts, pricing, commissioning, tests, marketing support and sales training with international sales staff.
  • Close management of all intervening to make the offer operational.
  • Launching and follow-up of results and evolutions.
  • Support in sales and negotiation
  • Creation of a partners database commissioning system.

The company evolved from a traditional credit insurance company to a company with a full online offer for credit services. This new type of online service was innovative in the branch activity and implied a new way of thinking within the company due to its market approach, its new sales channels and new type of partners. A real challenge and internet experience from a sales and marketing point of view.

Development of After Sales service and Credit Managment with Designers Guild, designers and wholesaler of luxury home furnisher. Office in Paris for French, Belgium and Luxembourg markets. (Aug. 1998 - Sept. 1999)

Responsibilities

  • Reorganisation of after-sales system for French and Belgium/Luxembourg market. Anaysing the current system, negotiation with external services, planning and reporting to head office.
  • Credit Management for Belgium and Luxembourg market. Follow-up of payments, proposition of adapted payment facilities according to situation.
  • Close relation with sales department to avoid blocking of turnover.

Export Sales Assistant for Benelux and Scandinavia within Oakley Europe Head Office. [July 1997 - Aug. 1998)

Responsibilities

  • contacts and follow-up with sales representatives and customers.
  • Reporting and budgetting.
  • Creation of communication letter to the sales representatives.

Education

  • Master’s Degree in international Marketing & Project Management at ESCP-EAP, specialisation in International Strategy and Marketing. (France 2000, "Mastère Spécialisé"). Master Degree obtained with "jury’s congratulations".
  • Exchange seminar with Indian Institute of Management - Ahmedabad / IIMA during ESCP-EAP Masters degree. Included local courses, company visits and descovery of Indian culture (total 3 weeks).
  • Bachelors degree in Business and Management at HEAO-Arnhem Business School (The Netherlands, 1997).

  • Special training on the Marketing Plan - its creation (4 days course in 2002) and its implementation (4 days course in 2003) by ISM Institut Supérieur du Marketing - an external marketing institute.

  • 2nd price in "Sony project for product development" (2000).
  • 1st price ABN-AMRO/HEAO for my graduation assignment on "Strategic Survey on Dutch companies establishing in France - Languedoc Roussillon" (1997, price: 1.250 Euros).
  • Hobbies: Cycling, squash, long distance walking, swimming and diving. Ancient Arabian literature and culture. Writing stories and poems.
